Taste, feel, hear, and remember- These engaging 30–45 minute sessions offer an immersive Black History Month experience through cultural cooking classes led by Chef Patience Chirisa  Designed to be interactive and family-friendly, each class invites participants to actively engage with history through food, rhythm, and movement.

Participants will explore African and Black diasporic heritage by learning how traditional dishes, sounds, and storytelling have been used for generations to preserve culture, celebrate identity, and build community. Through hands-on cooking demonstrations, and guided discussion, history moves beyond textbooks—becoming something students can taste, feel, hear, and remember.

These sessions foster cultural appreciation, curiosity, and connection, making Black history tangible, accessible, and deeply meaningful for learners of all ages.
